| 2007 USAFE Small Units Softball Championships CONGRATULATIONS SEMBACH - 2007 USAFE SMALL UNITS SOFTBALL CHAMPIONS! Standings and Box Scores All-Tournament Team: Report/Results from Tournament Director, Mr Steven Lowe: Congratulations Sembach - 2007 USAFE Small Units Softball Champions! Croughton won the championship game against Sembach to force the "if necessary" game. After an hour and forty-five minutes and a full seven innings of play, the "if" game ended with Sembach defeating Croughton 40-31. CONGRATS to Sembach and Croughton and all teams for yet again a great small units softball event. Perfect weather and field conditions at Darby meant for a great week - close games and what a finale! One of the most high scoring softball games in USAFE history - hats off to Sembach Tigers for pulling off the win 40-31. Details are in attached files. Alconbury are on a roll in the losers bracket defeating hosts Darby last night in a 32-30 thriller that included 16 home runs. The Dragons followed it up with a win over Lajes today and are now playing Croughton with the winner advancing to this afternoons championship game against Sembach. -----Original Message----- In the winners bracket games this afternoon Croughton cruised to a win over Lajes and Sembach advanced with a win over previously unbeaten Camp Darby - this sets up a Sembach vs Croughton match up tomorrow at 0900 for the right to advance to the championship game. Defending champions are the Croughton Cougars. 2007 USAFE Men's and Women's Large Units Softball Championships - 15-21 Aug 7 ladies and 5 men's teams competing playing round robin format followed by double elimination format. Defending champions are the Ramstein Rams and the Ramstein Lady Rams. 2007 Army/Air Force Final 4 Softball Championships - 23-26 Aug - Aviano AB, IT The top two men's and women's will represent USAFE at the Final 4 event in Aviano.. Again the format will be round robin play followed by a double elimination tournament.
